What a ride! kicking off the season by yet another fab race by the great Toughest crew. The venue this time was Malmø Sweden, and what a scene. The weather was forecasted to be nice, but in fact a bit to warm for a bear 😉 Having between 25-30 degrees and second to none wind, made this race harder than any previous races. A 9,3 km track layed out as a rough track, including a mix of sand, mud and grass surface. 40 amazing obstacles such as waterslide, Platinum rig, the rings and many many more had our expectation set high prior to race start. The technical level on these obstacles are not to find in any other scandinavian races, and calls for strength, concentration and a lot of will power… but we did it. Took 39 obstacles in the first go, but decided due to ankle problems, to skip the last one “half pipe” and took a penalty round. With a sick Bear on the team, the speed was reduced to a minimum… guess ending in the top 20% is an okay result, taking the circumstances into consideration.
